Welcome to your Traffic Skills Course!

IMPORTANT:

We require each student to review all the following information to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable course. It is the responsibility of each student to read through the entirety of this page before arriving on the first day of your course.

1. Bring your Learners Licence

You are required to have/bring a valid Motorcycle Learners Licence (class 6 or 8 LDL) or a valid full motorcycle licence (class 6 or 8) in order to participate in your Traffic Skills Course. Please also bring your photo ID or Drivers Licence. Licences will be checked daily!

No Learners Licence = NO RIDING!

2. Required Riding Gear

VISC requires all students to wear protective riding gear while participating in our courses. Please take a minute to review and ensure your gear meets our list of minimum acceptable riding gear for our courses:

  • DOT approved Full Face or modular type helmet.
(Helmets can be provided if you don’t have one)

  • Denim or heavy work type jacket

  • Denim jeans or a heavy canvas/cotton work pant

  • Hiking or work boot (must cover ankle bone)

  • Leather work/gardening glove or a “Mechanic” type glove

Full a full breakdown of our gear requirements, visit our Gear Requirements page.

3. Complete Online Waiver

Students are required to complete an online waiver. This can be done anytime leading up to the start of your course. We recommend that you completed the online waiver using a smartphone (as it requires your picture) and prior to Day 1 of your course.

A link to complete the online waiver will be emailed out to students one week prior to the start of their registered course.

If you are unable to complete the waiver in advance, our instructors can assist with waiver completion on Day 1 of your course.

4. When and Where?

Check your registration confirmation email for your exact course dates.

This typically provides our Traffic graduates more testing dates*/time selection and choice compared to booking online directly with ICBC.

Contact our office to review current availability of Road Test appointments.**

* Ensure to check your eligible Road Test date on your Leaners License before booking.
